If you’re still with me, I gave a highlight of why I stopped blogging for the last year and a half and what exactly that time has been like for me — so now that brings me to the present: what’s now going on, and what will be on the agenda going further.
Well our household is busier than ever. Tobias and I are still working our full-time jobs at the same company, Jakob is moving and shaking up a storm (starting to walk!), and I guess Koda and Loki are still just doing their own thing. We are taking a breather from our several family vaca’s until the end of the year, because there have surprisingly been a lot — which has been awesome! Coming back from Las Vegas just a couple weeks ago was our last family trip for the year, and it was a blast. More to come about all the things we have learned about traveling with an infant/toddler….oh boy there.
I’m also really getting back to riding on more of a constant basis — it took me a good 7-8 months after baby to feel totally better about getting back into the saddle, but I’m at the point where I feel good to show again some (did my first show back this summer!) and getting ready to do a clinic before the end of the year. We are finding time to do a lot of at-home family yoga too, which is great because I can only get to a live class about once or twice a week. Thankfully, our gym has a childcare center that Jakob will be getting to use some more now that he is a little older, so that allows mom and dad to get some good workouts in after work.
It’s holiday time so we are gearing up for the craziness like most people — finished end of the year stuff for our jobs, planning all the presents, organizing where to go for family time, and remembering to breathe somewhere in the middle of it all. I’m also so blessed to get back to a yoga retreat in Costa Rica the first week of December — my heart is torn between so excited to go and insanely sad to leave the baby for 5 days.
As far as the future goes, there’s so much planned already for the first couple months of 2022. Tobias is traveling a lot for work at that time, I have some new responsibilities at my job that are going to keep me busy, Jakob will be starting daycare for a couple days a week, and we have a lot of planning to do for all our travel adventures for the new year! For this blog — I am committed. I am committed to myself to use this platform to get down my thoughts and what not, but I am also committed to make this an interactive community as much as possible. I am in no way a certified expert in most of these fields, but I am insanely passionate about all things health, wellness and animal related. I want to make this a place where we can all share ideas and thoughts, hit some fitness goals, show off cool products and services out there, promote small and local businesses, and help save a lot of animals in any way we can. I can’t do this without YOU all, so please interact here! Tell others! Share your thoughts, what you’d like to see, what we should do, etc. Hope to keep learning and growing with you all!
