Pre-Bed Yoga for a Tight Back

Had a tight back lately and wanted to work it out some before bed - hence a quick flow that focuses on both strengthening and stretching the back area, as well as the core for balance.

Yes this is in my pajama’s because no yoga isn’t always about the cute outfit you are wearing. You can practice yoga in ANYTHING - even just focusing on your breathing at work is a yoga practice. Just a quick reminder that yoga is about YOU and anything you’re feeling in that moment, including your wardrobe :)

I didn’t really have a planned flow here, but here is what I focused on:

* Spinal twist variations & side bends
* Core & back strengthening moves
* Back body stretching (including hamstrings)
* Deep breathing & relaxation


The goal for this flow for me was more to find some peace and comfort before bed in my back — not to fully heal and entirely strengthen it. Hope anybody with a tight back finds this helpful to put you at ease for a nice night of sleep!

I have never been one to make any formal resolutions, but I felt it was necessary this year since there is sooo much huge stuff going on over the next 12-24 months.  Getting these down
