I think we have all been there, it’s literally the night before Christmas — or hours before you have to be at your party — and you really have nothing to bring gift-wise. Here are a couple super last minute gifts I have done over the years that ended up being some of the best gifts I have given:
Tickets to an event of some type! Concert tickets to a favorite band or nice seats to a sporting event have been super useful - and appreciated - gifts over the years. The great thing about these gifts, you can look them up online and print out the tickets literally hours before you have to give the gift! Makes for great memories too at the event
Homemade gift baskets. Might sound cheesy, and yes it’s a little bit of work, but these are the types of gifts that truly are heartfelt because you are putting it together yourself. Maybe a nice basket for a home spa day full of bubble bath and face masks, or a wine and cheese basket for a movie night…need to be a little creative, but love seeing people's expressions when they get these
Massage gift cards — I think most people thoroughly enjoy a nice, relaxing, massage so, enough said here
Next one is taking back to when we were younger and provided like a “coupon book” for mom and dad, but offer up a service to someone you know could really use some help — offer to watch their kids so they can go on a date night, or help them with a project they are working on like just re-decorating their house
Taking them to some type of experience. Sort of like a concert or sporting event, but thinking more like a nice dinner and then going to see an exhibit at a museum. Not only are you covering the charges, but it’s a great time to bond together that people will truly love and appreciate
Airline vouchers for the traveler in your life! Again a quick item you can print out before you meet up in a couple of hours, and for those itching to get back to traveling, these are a really nice gift for them to have
Subscription boxes — great for those that have something “new” in their life or something they really love. For example, I would have loved a subscription to some of these pregnancy or new mom boxes — could be an idea there!
Alcohol; that nice bottle of wine, again, enough said here
Then when all else fails — gift cards! Yes they are generic, but trust me, a $25 gas card really, really does go a long way for most people
If you are still rushing around trying to get a few more stocking stuffers in or last minute gifts for your loved ones, hope some of these ideas helped spark some ideas! Happy Holidays!
