November P.U.P. - Non-Slip Food Mat!

November 26, 2021 Kelly Wanamaker

This November P.U.P (pet unique product) isn’t exactly a crazy idea, but way more of a practical one I should have invested in a long time ago — a silicone based, waterproof, non-slip dog/cat food mat!

I have a similar one currently, but this one from Chewy is on my Christmas list this year. Why I will always invest in a good food mat from now on:

  • My animals - dog & cat - are messy…very messy

  • My place is small and spills travel to multiple different places

  • When dropped dog food & water linger for too long, the smell (and look) is not great

What I have liked about my current mat, and what I am looking forward to in this one is:

  • The mat is first very grippy on both slides, so as crazy of an eater that your pet is, it really doesn’t slide!

  • Waterproof, stain-resistant, and anti-microbial properties for hygiene purposes

  • Nice size — fits well into corners but also can fit both a large food & water dish

  • The sides are raised up, which doesn’t seem like a big deal, but it stops those spills and leaks from getting outside of the mat (yes!)

  • Easy to clean — even dishwasher friendly

If you are still sticking to those cutesy dog or cat food mats and are content — they you keep doing you (I was there, I had all the ones with paws & bones on them) — but if you are sick of the mess, sick of the spills, sick of all the sliding around the dishes do when your dog goes nuts, then I definitely suggest looking into this food mat: Tough Grip, Waterproof Food Mat!
